What Is a Shrink Wrapping Machine? Types, Uses and Prices
A shrink wrapping machine packs products in a transparent film that shrinks tightly around them when heated. The film takes the shape of the product, protects it from dust and scratches, keeps grouped items together and gives a clean, professional look on the shelf.
How does a shrink machine work?
The product is placed between two layers of shrink film. A hot sealing bar cuts and seals the film around the product, and hot air then shrinks the film. Depending on the machine type, shrinking takes place in a hood chamber or in a heat tunnel.
Types of shrink machines
- Manual hood type (L cut): sealing and shrinking in a single chamber, no separate tunnel needed. Ideal for small and medium businesses. See our L cut manual shrink machines.
